About

We build agents that make incidents smaller.

Most SOC teams have more alerts than hours. Each case means opening one console after another to piece together who did what, so verdicts arrive late and some alerts are closed without a real look. Mitigate is our answer to that: agents that do the legwork, under rules the team writes.

01Our story

We wanted a SOC that didn't need another data pipeline to work.

Mitigate reads from the tools a team already operates, using scoped API credentials, and runs each investigation against those systems directly. Results from different products are joined into one case with its evidence attached. Response steps follow the team's approval policy, and every query and action lands in the record, so a lead can check the work without redoing it.

02Principles

What we hold to

  1. Leave the data where it is

Your EDR, identity provider and cloud logs already know what happened. An investigation should ask them directly instead of waiting for a copy to arrive somewhere else.

  2. Many tools, one case

Teams will keep running specialist products, and that is fine. What should not be split is the case: one place where the question, the evidence and the decision sit together.

  3. Detections are never finished

Attackers change technique faster than rule sets get reviewed. Hunts and investigations should feed new rules back in, so a fresh method gets caught the second time.

  4. A verdict needs a reason

An alert only says something might be wrong. A closed case should say what was checked, what the scope was, and why the conclusion holds.

  5. People set the limits

Agents act only inside gates the team defines. Integrations start read-only, write access is granted one action at a time, and the record shows each step.

  6. Pay for work, not storage

Pricing tied to gigabytes pushes teams to drop logs they might need. Reading data in place lets you look wide during an incident without paying to keep everything forever.

03Approach

How Mitigate works

Each connected tool gives the agents another place to ask questions. When an alert arrives, Mitigate queries those systems where they run, compares what comes back, and writes up a single case with scope, evidence and a verdict. Adding an integration makes the next case more complete. Nothing has to be shipped into a central store first.
